The 1st Annual TWP Baseball Color Run was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had nearly all of our 200 registered runners take part in the run/walk with a few “day-of” registrants as well, with everyone getting plenty of coloring. There was a DJ, bouncy house and photographer capturing all of the fun before, during and after the race. Prizes were given out to the top 3 fundraisers as well as other prizes to those who were there. The pizza party was won by Coach Paxson’s 11u Minutemen Red team by raising over $1,100, great job! Thank you to everyone who helped us exceed our first year goal.
We hope to make it even bigger and better next year and hope to see you there with your family and friends.
Thank you for helping our program with this fundraiser and I speak for the rest of the Baseball Advisory Board in saying great job! Be sure to check out the pictures and download what you like.

The 9u Minutemen Blue dominated from start to finish to grab the championship of the WT Memorial Day Tournament. After defeating the SJ Braves and Delaware Bandits by a combined score of 31-9, the Minutemen squared off again with the Bandits in the semifinals, coming from behind to win 9-7. This set up a title game matchup with the Hammonton Stars, who, like the Minutemen, had posted a 3-0 record heading into Monday’s final. Washington Twp exploded for 8 runs in the second inning and 7 in the fifth frame to cruise to a 15-3 victory. Well done boys!

The Washington Twp 10u Blue finished off a great weekend of baseball by winning the 2016 Cornfield Classic Tournament in Woodstown. The Minutemen defeated Egg Harbor Twp 9-6 in the championship game to capture the title. After going 1-1 in pool play, they were seeded 4th. They had to defeat the #5 seed Tri State Arsenal (12-2), then the #1 seed Woodstown Heat (11-1) and finally the #2 seed Egg Harbor Twp all in one day. The Minutemen used the long ball throughout the weekend as Jared Dzierzgowski hit two homers and Chris Racobaldo had one. After losing in the semi-finals in both the MSI and Ripken Tournaments getting this tournament win was rewarding. Congratulations to all of the players and coaches

Color-A-Thon is coming to Washington Township! WT Baseball is hosting a Color-A-Thon Fundraiser on Sunday, June 12th. This fun, healthy event is a fundraiser where players will be asking for donations and earning rewards depending on the level of donations they raise. At the end of the donation period, a 3k Color-A-Thon event will take place. The students can walk, run, skip or cartwheel through a course where they will get blasted by color dust!
To make it even more fun, the community is invited to participate. Afterwards there will be a DJ and more.
The color dust is safe, non-toxic and completely washable. It’s made of corn starch and color dyes approved by the FDA.
The TWP Color-A-Thon will be on 6/12 at 9:00 AM, registration starts at 8. It will be held at Washington Lake Park.
To register go to http://shop.schoolathon.org/EventIndex.asp?EID=182785. Once the Player is registered, he will be given a money portal for the donations
For more information about Color-A-Thon, go to www.schoolathon.org
More information will be provided at PHR in the board room for a short video presentation for each team. Stay tuned!
